Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient error when generating reports in IntelliBid

Issue

When attempting to generate a report in IntelliBid you receive the following error message:

An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.

Error Details: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information. 

Solution

This is caused when 'Crystal Reports' isn't installed or there is a problem with Crystal Reports. Please install or re-install Crystal reports, and try again.

For 64 bit (x64) computers download and install the following: Crystal Reports - 

Runtime 64 bit

For 32 bit (x32) computers download and install the following: Crystal Reports - 

Runtime 32 Bit

If the runtime is already installed, the program will ask if you wish to remove/reinstall the software.

Click on Reinstall.  This might require a reboot.

 

NOTE: If you’re not certain if your computer is a 32 or 64 bit (x32 or x64) please perform the following. Click on the ‘Start Button’ and then ‘Right Click’ on ‘My Computer’ and select ‘Properties’. The 'System Type' will say either 32 or 64 bit.
